This is an open letter to you from your alter ego.

23 years old

What an achievement. God has given you another year to celebrate, to fill and to discover. Make use of this wisely and grow yourself into a better version of you. Changes aren't exactly our thing. We're so scared of stepping into an unknown territory. Most of the times we fear what we don't know mainly because you and I both knew how previous expectations had crushed our sanity. The pain and struggle to pick the pieces back up was almost unbearable but self, take a deep breath and look at you now.

We are alive and strong 💪

We had successfully managed to turn our scars to art that somehow helped your healing process. Moreover, that work made you felt accomplished and loved by those who you care about. This year might not be our best year. That I can admit. However, through ups and downs, you had learnt more about yourself, your limits and your own emotional state. Along the journey, you had made some irresponsible decisions that hurt others. However, instead of punishing yourself, why don’t you give the same compassion you give others to yourself ? By the end of the day, it’s you who can take care of your own self. Your sanity pillars, be it your parents, sister and close friends and/or even “he”, your future “one” can’t be the reason you feel whole nor act as a “mat” you can run to whenever you feel like it. To feel is apart of growing. To be wrong is a part of maturing. Your past would always teach you a valuable lesson, if you let it.

There are still 3 months left this year.

Let’s own it and celebrate it to its fullest potential.
